OPINION: Politicians who Recently Travelled Now Have a Message for Canadians: Don’t Travel

An opinion piece from The Globe and Mail highlights the contrast between politicians telling Canadians not to travel - after themselves recently taking a trip. “I’ll remind Canadians that, as annoying as it is … we still have travel advisories in place recommending that people don’t travel unless it’s absolutely necessary,” said Health Minister Patty Hajdu regarding the holiday season, shortly after the federal election campaign where party leaders and their cohorts flew around the country.
