5 Ways 5G Can Change the Air Travel Experience

Skift reports that 5G, the fifth-generation mobile network, has the potential to change the air travel experience by enabling services that can alleviate passenger impediments and improve operations. Skift discusses five ways in which 5G can transform the customer experience, by improving passenger convenience on smartphones, enabling faster business connectivity, managing more inventory devices within a set space compared to 4G, increasing operational efficiency, and boosting security. “With low latency and high-speed data connectivity, air travel passengers and transportation associates could enjoy a plethora of new capabilities and services in airports and airplanes,” said Jerri Traflet, managing partner, retail, travel, distribution domain, at Verizon.
