Numerous studies during the pandemic have shown that more and more travellers see the value in, and intend to purchase travel insurance when they resume travelling post-pandemic. Now, another survey of U.S. travellers says that nearly half are no longer satisfied by their travel insurance coverage, and intend to switch. The good news is that 61 per cent of them - up from 35 per cent earlier in the pandemic - now prefer to purchase from their “travel provider or advisor for their next trip.” While Canadians are not specifically surveyed, the concerns of sufficient coverage in the post-pandemic travel environment translate to Canadian travel consumers, too, as does the rising appreciation of travel advisor expertise.
