Cruise Lines Poised For Rebound Despite No Word On When U.S. Sailings Can Resume: Analysts

Even though the CDC has yet to give a firm date for when it will allow ships to sail to and from U.S. ports, market analysts say the outlook for the battered industry is fairly strong. Industry observer Jaime Katz believes the CDC will allow ships to start calling on U.S. ports later this summer and no later than the fall. "Our thinking is this isn't something on the top of the CDC to do list. It's priority has been getting case counts down, which it should be,” she said. Even if sailings do restart from the U.S. in early summer, it will be far from a normal travel season, Katz said.
