According to Richard Vanderlubbe, member of the board of directors for the Association of Canadian Travel Agencies (ACTA) and President of tripcentral.ca, not all clients are jumping to cancellations. However, the number of “new inquiries and new bookings have slowed down." In an interview with CTV, Vanderlubbe clarified: “I think people are pausing and they're trying to figure out what this means.” Many travellers who planned for Christmas trips are likely to go through with them and simply plan for the added requirements at a border, Vanderlubbe added.
