MSC Cruises and Chantiers de l’Atlantique celebrated two newbuild milestones, with the float out of the MSC World Europa and the coin ceremony held for MSC Euribia. The MSC World Europa and MSC Euribia will become the first LNG-powered vessels to join the MSC fleet in 2022, with construction on MSC World Europa II due to commence in early 2023.
MSC also recently announced that its entire fleet of 19 ships will be sailing during summer 2022 for a total of 500 departures. MSC Grandiosa, MSC Meraviglia, MSC Opera, MSC Splendida, MSC Seaview and MSC Seaside will be in the Western Mediterranean in summer 2022, with MSC Magnifica and MSC Poesia joining them in the fall. In the Eastern Mediterranean, guests can choose from MSC Musica, MSC Fantasia, MSC Sinfonia, MSC Armonia, and MSC Lirica.
