According to the Maru Public Opinion survey conducted between 03-05DEC, the majority of Canadians (54 per cent) are not worried about contracting the Omicron variant and have not adjusted their behavior as a result. The survey also revealed that 62 per cent of respondents believe the current vaccines or peoples’ own immunity will be enough to protect them. However, around half (49 per cent) of respondents also said they believe the Omicron variant is being underestimated and may be worse than the Delta variant. The survey involved 1,510 randomly selected Canadian adults.
