King Of The Tarmac? 2 Lions Escape At Singapore Changi Airport

A pair of lions under the care of Singapore Airlines escaped from their cages while on the apron at SIN on 12DEC. The two cats broke free of their cages and began prowling around the tarmac, but local reports suggest they remained within a netted area around their cages, erected for safety during the transit. After their escape, the lions and airport workers held a standoff before the cats were shot with a tranquilizer gun under supervision of veterinary and carnivore care teams. According to reports, the lions are now recovering and being cared for by Mandai Wildlife Group, the owners of Singapore Zoo. The two were a part of a larger shipment of eight big cats, but it was unclear where they were flying to or where they came from, said Simple Flying.
