Thailand Reinstates Mandatory Hotel Quarantine for Foreign Tourists

As of 22DEC, Thailand reinstate its mandatory hotel quarantine for all foreign travellers, which can range from seven to 10 days. Previously, travellers could apply for its “Test and Go” program, a waiver which allowed travellers to bypass a lengthy quarantine period by providing a negative test result. In addition, Thailand’s “Sandbox” program, which requires visitors to stay in a specific location but allows them freedom of movement outside their accommodation, will be suspended in all places except for the resort island of Phuket. The changes will be reviewed on 04JAN 2022.
