Hilton Salwa: the Gigantic Luxury Hotel in the Middle of Nowhere

Along Qatar's border with Saudi Arabia, nothing but a few outposts can be found amid a large stretch of vast desert, up until the Hilton Salwa Beach Resort & Villas showed up, complete with its own theme park. With 84 villas, 31 Arabian village-style apartments and villas, and 246 rooms and suites in the main hotel, the resort is one of the largest in the Middle East.
