Silversea Opens Pre-Sales for 132-Day 2024 'Far East-West' World Cruise

Silversea has announced that it has opened pre-sales for its 132-day world cruise 'Far East-West' set for 2024. Pre-sale bookings and quotes can be found on Silversea's website, with fares ranging from USD $66,000 to USD $276,000 per guest, based on double occupancy.

Bookings will open for the general public on 04AUG 2021.

The cruise will take place upon the 388-guest Silver Shadow, and will depart from San Francisco on 15JAN 2024 to visit 65 destinations across 14 Pacific Rim countries, including 40 new destinations for the line, and 23 overnight stays.

After departing from San Francisco, Silver Shadow will journey from east to west, with stops along the Pacific Rim, from Hawaii and remote Pacific isles, to Australia and New Zealand, through Southeast Asia, China, Japan, and the Russian Far East, and back across the Pacific to Alaska, Canada, and California. The Russian Far East and Alaska will be featured for the first time on a Silversea World Cruise.

World Cruise Premier

On 14JUL, Silversea hosted a virtual premier of its World Cruise 2024 for selected guests and Travel Partners. The video was shot at at the famous Villa Arconati near Milan, and hosted by Fernando Barroso de Oliveira, Silversea's President's Ambassador to the Venetian Society. A live Q&A session followed with Mr. Martinoli, Barbara Muckermann, Chief Commercial Officer, and Fernando.

World Cruise Events and Included Overland Programs

In addition to a Bon Voyage gala reception, dinner, overnight accommodation in San Francisco on the evening before departure, and a special farewell event upon the voyage’s conclusion, full World Cruise 2024 guests will enjoy an exclusive collection of special events and overland experiences, recapped as follows:

• An Evening on the USS Missouri (Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii - 21JAN, 2024)
  • Guests have the opportunity to visit USS Missouri in Pearl Harbor. Highlights include a warm Hawaiian welcome and bespoke dinner in full view of the ship, accompanied by nostalgic music of the 1940s.
• A Unique Night of Magic at Uluru (Darwin, Australia - 8-9MAR, 2024)
  • Right in the heart of Australia is Uluru, a solitary mountain with desert stretching out away from it as far as the eye can see. During an included overland program to this spiritual center for the indigenous population, guests will be treated to a special cultural event, along with dinner and entertainment under one of the world’s starriest night skies. Round-trip air travel and an overnight at a luxury hotel are included.
• Where Majestic Temples Meet (Semarang, Java, Indonesia - 19-20MAR , 2024)
  • The Hindu temple of Prambanan and the Buddhist temple of Borobudur on Java, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites, headline this included overland experience. An overnight at a luxury hotel in Yogyakarta offers the chance to see both attractions, enjoy a sunset dinner event at Prambanan with the temples lit up at night, and a sunrise over the  Temple of Borobudur the next day.
• The Past and Future in Color (Shanghai, China - 08APR 2024)
  • This unique dining experience, hosted in a secret location in Shanghai, features a special menu created just for Silversea guests by an award-winning chef. Guests will go on a culinary journey from old Shanghai to modern China.
• A Night at the Russian Opera (Vladivostok, Russia - 27APR, 2024)
  • Guests will attend Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre, the world's northernmost opera house. Preshow and intermission caviar and champagne will enrich the experience.
• Russian Tradition in Korsakov (Korsakov, Russia - 30APR, 2024)
  • Guests will discover local flavors and folklore, including a Cossack performance, and experience how western and eastern influences have shaped this remote corner of the world.

The World Cruise Collection and Optional Overland Experiences

As well as enjoying at least one free shore excursion in every port of call – more than 200 in total – full world-cruising guests have exclusive access to a special selection of shore experiences, the World Cruise Collection.

Highlights include:

• A full-day tour of Lady Elliot Island and the Southern Great Barrier Reef, witnessing the coral reef up close and swimming with marine life from Brisbane
• From Ho Chi Minh City, travelers will gain exclusive access to Mr. Tran Hu Tuan's famous fine art collection at a unique home in the city, which includes many valuable works of famous Vietnamese artists
• From Petropavlovsk, guests will experience a helicopter ride over the remote Kamchatka Peninsula and its volcanic landscapes, traveling on to the Nalychevo valley to bathe in the area's hot springs

On top of the World Cruise’s two included overland programs in Uluru and Semarang, guests will have the option of joining additional overland experiences, including a five-day immersion into authentic New Zealand, from the vineyards of Waiheke Island to the geothermal pools of the Whakarewarewa Maori village; a five-day journey to the famous Drepung Monastery, the largest monastery and a unique cultural experience in Tibet; and a five-day venture to the remote Sheldon Chalet, perched on a nunatak in the Don Sheldon Amphitheater of Denali's Ruth Glacier, among others.
