Globus and Cosmos Unveil 'Faith-Based Tours' for 2023

Globus and Cosmos has released its portfolio of faith-based vacations for 2023, including a new Camino de Santiago: The Scenic Portuguese Route itinerary to its line-up.

“These tours invite travellers on inspiring journeys to walk in the footsteps of those who came before us and search for passion while following the Passion of Christ,” said Stéphanie Bishop, managing director of the Globus family of brands. “And in 2023, Globus and Cosmos guests can follow visionaries across the globe from France to Portugal, Greece to Turkey, Italy to Israel on faith-based vacations.”

In addition to Cosmos’ 11-day The Camino, A walking Journey for the Soul vacation comes a second, new Camino itinerary (11-day Camino de Santiago: The Scenic Portuguese Route) that allows travellers to discover the wonders of nature on a scenic blend of Portuguese landscapes and the spiritual routes of the Camino de Santiago.

This Small-Group Discovery (created for 20 travellers or less) walk will cover a total of approximately 75 miles, inviting travellers to take time to reflect, contemplate, meditate and give this challenge "the meaning its meant to convey" – whether spiritual, religious, physical or just an opportunity to meet like-minded people.

Other itineraries the company is bringing back to its 2023 portfolio include:

• GLOBUS - Footsteps of Apostle Paul, 10 days, beginning and ending in Athens. “For we walk by faith, not by sight,” wrote the Apostle Paul to the Corinthians. On this religious tour of Greece and Turkey, travellers stroll, skip, and sail by faith as they retrace the many missionary journeys of the Apostle Paul after he saw the light in Damascus.
• GLOBUS - Journey through the Holy Land, 9 days, from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Travellers can let their body float in the waters of the Dead Sea and let their hearts soar on this religious tour of Israel. A 5-day extension to Jordan is also available.
• COSMOS - Spiritual Highlights of Italy, 9 days, beginning and ending in Rome. On this tour, travellers have the opportunity to visit the Catholic icons of Rome, such as the four major Basilicas, the Scala Sancta and the Papal summer residence of Castel Gandolfo, attend the Papal Audience and learn about some of Italy’s Saints.
