Madame Tussauds Finds Dates for Singletons on Valentine’s Day, But There’s a Catch

If you ever dreamed about a Valentine’s Day date with the hunky Ryan Gosling or Prince Harry, one popular tourist attraction in Sydney, Australia is here to be the fairy godmother that turns your wishes into reality.

Just don’t light a match.

That’s because the Valentine’s Day dinner event is being held at Madame Tussauds, the famous museum populated by wax replicas of celebrities, royalty, and characters from history. And your ‘date’ is a life-sized wax figure.

Sydney’s Madame Tussauds held an inspired contest leading up to Valentine’s Day offering one love-deprived singleton the chance to enjoy a private candle-lit (really?) dinner with a celebrity… the wax version, that is. Winners can choose a romantic rendezvous with Gosling, Taylor Swift, Prince Harry or Miranda Kerr.

The winner receives a private, after-hours tour of the attraction, plus a three-course dinner with their chosen sweetheart. They will be the only visitors at the museum, besides staff, allowing for that intimate one-on-one interaction.

If you’re worried the conversation will be worse than awkward - actually non-existent -  they’ve solved that.

“Just in case Ryan Gosling isn’t that much of a conversationalist, the lucky diner will be invited to bring along a wing woman or wing man to share the once-in-a-lifetime treat.” the contest site says.

As far as Valentine’s Day dates go, this one is a clear winner -- no need to make awkward conversation, fake-laugh at jokes or half-heartedly argue about who gets the bill. Plus - all of Madame Tussauds' dates are COVID-free.

You can just stare into your date’s dead eyes and rest assured that no one will be stealing bites out of your chocolate mousse cake.
