Excuse me, dahrlings, but...

Life Is Like Toilet Paper

Air Canada says paying commission is bringing in the business. Well,
Pumpkins, with the millions of dollars you're now costing them, it better.
It's not like they have much to spare, and shareholders aren't reallly big on
charitable gestures. Some argue that no matter what a supplier throws at the
market, agents will do what agents do. Or, is AC right - can you be
bought? (God knows, I can. Seriously. Anybody?)

On another completely unrelated note, according to Pravda, Cuba is running
out of toilet paper. Authorities are attempting to plug the leak - but
this kind of rumour has a way of spreading, after all. Not to worry
though, tourists will never feel it. Reminds me of being tramped around
Eastern Europe as a child. The toilet paper was a kind of sand paper
rolled onto tubes. No fancy perfs either -- you just shredded a piece. No
need to tell you, this is not something a fresh young posterior should be
exposed to.

Toilet paper is one of those essentials we don't tend to ponder until it's gone. And then it's too late. Come to think of it, it's not at all unlike commissions. Or, credit card processing. Or, any number of things we in travel take for granted. The moral is, do something before you're stuck with an empty roll. It's not like we can just call out to the Pumpkin in the next stall.
