What Is Mexico Going To Do About Mexico?

I heard a bouncy Brad Miron and a genuine Janine Chapman tell the CBC that everything’s going to be alright. Phew. Because I was worried there for a moment that empty hotel lobbies and piles of idle taxies in PVR were a bit of a problem.

Certainly, the lovely man in Mazatlan whose leg happened to get in the way of a spray of bullets is taking it all in stride. Said it could happen anywhere. Really? Machine guns discharging on the corner of Portage and Main? The only thing that surprised him is that the sound is more of ‘pow, pow, pow’ as opposed to the ‘rat-tat-tat-tat’ you hear in movies. The things you thought you knew about guns! Go figure.

Dear Mexico, that elephant in the room is blocking my view of the beautiful subterranean grotto encounters for singles you keep airing. People’s fears are not just going to go away because we wish it were so. How old is everyone? Time to clear away some of the sand you’ve buried yourselves under and deal with the issue. Our businesses depend on it.
