Excuse me, dahrlings, but...

Smart Phone? KMA

Here’s an instant message for the gadget crowd: smart phones are dumbing down our business.

It’s challenging enough to be understood under the best of circumstances, dahrlings. But, I have yet to experience an intelligent – nay, merely a sensible - exchange with a Blackberry-o-phile. The exchangee is always under some form of duress – on another call, in a meeting or simply crazy – in addition to managing their business life on a Barbie doll screen.

So no matter how c a r e f u l l y I pick my words – being doubly diligent knowing that a nanosecond of attention is an eternity in the HOAS world - the response inevitably sounds like they’ve stepped into some alternate universe. On top of which, they can never find the thread again, so what’s the point?

Dahrlings, you only think you’re efficient because you lost half your inbox on the last synch-up and ignored the other half.

I have an app for you: it’s called the ‘off’ button.
