Excuse me, dahrlings, but...

Safety First

I am absolutely tickled about the latest security news, dahrlings. 800 Canadian airport security screeners have been given the boot. Which can only mean one thing: yes, Pumpkins, the worst must be over.

If Toronto - the busiest airport in Canada – can do without 400 trained screeners, it is a clear signal to the citizenry of this country that we are safer than ever. Lord knows Harper wouldn’t take any chances with our lives.

The man has already proven he will go to great lengths to ensure the safety of his subjects and keep a tight lid on terrorism. This was unmistakably established by the billions spent on fortressing Toronto last summer. (Some citizens were arrested. A few beaten. But it was all for a good cause.)

The really clever part is that the feds obviously don’t want to alert any evil doers to this new reality by pretending the layoffs are an economic measure. Very clever.
