Too Much Poking Among Friends

Like all natural and unnatural flows of the universe, Pumpkins, even Facebook’s world domination is waning. Seems the over-socialized cyber organism may have passed its peak. Over-poked the mark, as it were. Over the last two months, six million users have disengaged.

Facebook denies the trend – saying the numbers look bad because of buggy software. You know what strikes me about that? I’ve never heard anyone blame buggy software when the numbers look good.

And speaking of bad wiring, what happened to the Canucks’ motor controls? Reminds me of my first husband. All thumbs when it came to jamming the puck. And as if being trashed in your home town isn’t humiliating enough, Vancouver adds insult to injury by trashing the place. Honestly. Between Montreal, Calgary and Vancouver, it’s a wonder you people don’t impose Martial Law on hockey nights. Do you see Maple Leaf fans behave like that?

I think not. All that pent up emotion at being so close to the cup you can smell the sweat on it – being released in a crowd of explosive hooliganism? No. I’ve never seen that in hog town. No … um, have we ever been that close to the cup? Anyone know?
