Excuse me, dahrlings, but...

Let's Put The 'C' Back In Counsellor!

The U.S. Air Transport Association is remaking its dusty image with a name upgrade. They are now called “Airlines For America.” Alright! Doesn’t that just put the “F” back in Freedom. Not only is it patriotic as heck, the alliteration is snappy. (Although, personally, I think a third ‘A’ word would have rounded out the name well. For instance, Airlines Against America. Hmm … sort of kills the whole flag waving theme. Tricky.)

Nonetheless, the move inspires me to propose forming “Counsellors for Canada.” Granted, it doesn’t radiate the same brand of Team America zeal, but it’s got weight. It stands for Democracy, and Niceness, and Universal Health Care. It says we sell travel because we care about our country! And the U.K., of course. Use the comment form below to register.

And speaking of the U.K. – TUI has good reason to toot its horn today. They posted a record operating profit of $748 million, no small thanks to Sunwing and Signature. Maybe they should call themselves “Hunters for Profit”. Gosh that’s clever.
