Excuse me, dahrlings, but...

Is That Your Kokle, Or Are You Building
A Titanic Ship

I was so excited, Pumpkins, when I read that an airline - which chose to remain nameless - placed an order for 15 Bombardier C Series jets. Aha! This is catnip to an old rumour hound. The story had ‘new secret carrier’ written all over it.

You can imagine my droopy disposition when I sniffed out it’s Air Baltic. Not that I hold anything against Latvian airlines. Although there once was a Latvian who definitely held something against me -- and it wasn’t his kokle, if you know what I mean.

Speaking of men who go off half-cocked, there’s an Australian mining magnate worth $5.2 billion who’s building the Titanic II in China. Which one of you dahrlings is not thinking, “WTF? I didn’t know China could build cruise ships!”

I know Aussies’ brains work differently because of how the water goes down the drain, but you’d think someone would tap this guy on the shoulder and say, “This has bad idea written all over it, mate.”

As Nana Gabbalot used to say, men with money like to mark their territory in a splashy way.

The ship is scheduled to sail from England to the U.S. in 2016 and will have the exact same specs as its predecessor. Hopes are running high that the Aussie crackpot can afford a few more lifeboats.

Oh, and apparently we will soon know the identity of WestJet’s new V.P. Sales whose initials could be L.F. But you didn’t hear that from me.
