Excuse me, dahrlings, but...

Cleavage Beats Crack, Hands Down

The best way to get press these days is to come up with something titillating and outrageous, because in a tabloid world, that’s what the peeps want, Pumpkins. Narcoleptic newsboy and the dull dinkettes can get all cerebral about the key criteria for consortium membership or what ACTA isn’t up to, and nobody gives a flying McCaig. But mention babies in baggage, service pigs that can fly or pax superglued to overhead bins and you can hear the titters in bricky shops and home-based squats across the Great Steaming North.

You like reading the nasty, Pumpkins, and who am I to question your taste? Instead, I’ll shamelessly pander to it, by bringing your attention to the fact that buttock cleavage (plumber’s bum) tops the list of things that travellers find most offensive about their fellow passengers.

This revelation came in a study conducted by U.K. travel search site Skyscanner, which interviewed 2,700 flyers... yeah, I know, who cares?

And lo and behold, despite Southwest’s demonstrated disdain for décolletage, female frontal cleavage lands way down the list of offensive sights, annoying just 4% of travellers, very few of them harbouring Y chromosomes.

The next most off-putting offences: sweaty patches on clothing, beer bellies on bloated display, offensive T-shirt slogans and the infamous white socks with sandals.

You read it here 1st Pumpkins... or not.
