Excuse me, dahrlings, but...

These Boys Can Hunt!

Those Hunter boys sure aren’t gun-shy, are they Pumpkins? The men who brought the packaged vacation to Bagotville (departures dahrlings, not arrivals) are fast becoming a tour de force in the resort biz.

To use a golf analogy, these are not the kind of fellows who stand over their balls taking half a dozen practice shots. Nope, it’s just step right up and schwing!

They fly out of places I didn’t even know we had places. Now they’re creating Memories faster than a speeding 737-800. With the news they’re heading for Grand Bahama, they’ve gone from zero to over 5,000 rooms in what seems like a heartbeat.

Freeport’s a challenge to be sure – always has been – but bringing their own lift to the party is half the battle. Plus, they can entice the southerners to hop a quick ride on the Vacation Express and no doubt the Bahamas gov’t has been targeted to lubricate the deal.

The Hunters definitely sing their own tune, especially the timeless Colin, who can croon like an angel. But I ask you Pumpkins, what is the silken-voiced songbird going to do for an encore? ‘Come Fly With Me’ is perfect for the tour side, but as a resort anthem ‘Come Sleep With Me’ is a little unsubtle (though, come to think of it... it has always worked for yours truly)!

Ditto for the misty water-coloured memories of ‘The Way We Were’ – it ain’t got no swing. Help us out here dahrlings: what’s the signature song you’d most like to hear Colin belting out in the lobby as you check in for a Memories vacation?
