Introducing Trans-Fat Fares

Slow is underrated, Pumpkins. Slow food - good. Slow sex - better. (Pretty much any sex is good at my age, even pity sex. Anyone?) Point is the OJ Voting Booth shows 40% of you are saying business is s-l-o-o-o-w. Not good.

It will come to a grinding halt if our airlines follow in SE’s footsteps and implement “pay as you weigh” airfares. Baggage, golf clubs, fat, etc. all weighed up and charged per kilo. It’s not like you can choose to lighten the load by leaving a body part behind. Hmmm… should I take my ass with me?

Word is Sabre’s already testing a $/pound booking platform. Porter ads will feature 15% off per kilo offers and skinny jean specials. Gives a whole new meaning to the price of extra lean, don’t you think?

(The girls at the bridge club are running around with calipers trying to see if there’s an ounce of fat to be trimmed should it come to pass in North America. They love any excuse to try the latest diet. The dinkettes on the other hand… well, never mind.)

Then there’s Princess Cruises who tell clients not to book with travel agents. They've since apologized for their res agent saying her words were not officially sanctioned. But you sort of wonder where she got the idea to tell the client to avoid using an agent. Reminds me of when my inner monologue spills into an outer monoloque. Ooops! Did I say that out loud?
