I knew it. I knew it.
Yesterday, at the Q400 unveiling, that sly Saretsky confirmed that he will not unconfirm buying Porter. He also did not, I repeat, did not deny flying to Shanghai or Paris. As you all know, WestJet’s narrative about big planes and Porter has always been “I’m so happy to be me! One fleet, blah blah blah.” So if they aren’t spewing that tired speech in response to those pesky questions – you can bet your narrow body something’s afoot.
Wow. Things sure are heating up in the turbo-prop cum jet age, eh Pumpkins!
I’ve got my ear to the runway and will keep you posted, as always.
In other breaking news, we have apparently all completely overlooked a significant travel and tourism revenue opportunity, Pumpkins -- the National Quilt Museum in Paducah, Kentucky.
According to Trip Advisor, this place is smoking hot. So much so, they have awarded it the TripAdvisor Award for Excellence for the second consecutive year. There is no word on the particular field of excellence the quilt museum excels in, but a spokesperson says the awarding “signifies that a new stitch has just been sewn in the fabric of the Museum's evolving reputation as a high-quality tourist destination and premium art museum.” Apparently they went toe to toe with the Nightmares Fear Factory in Niagara Falls, Canada, who won the coveted 'Certificate of Excellence' last year.
