Excuse me, dahrlings, but...

Where Have All The URL's Gone?

Not since global warming has man faced such a catastrophe, dahrlings. The URL’s are almost all gone. Used up. And I’m not talking just the good ones like 'Dial-a-drink.alc'. With cave-dwelling, gonadal 12 year olds parking every possible letter combo, even gibberish is gone.

California’s start-up crowd is in a lather about it – stoking their back ends into a creative dither. “Hey dude, what about ‘likewhat_evr.com’?”

For travel, it means there are no more ‘flight’ ‘cheap’ ‘trip’ or ‘vacation’ names available – even if you add “ocity” to them. Don’t panic, but holy html, Pumpkins. This is serious. And it’s not like you can pay Softvoyage to reprogram the world wide net even if you cash in all your AC stock. I know what you’re thinking, even a cute French accent won’t fix this mess.

The only solution is to institute a use it or lose it rule. It’s worked in my marriages, and it can work in the cloud – whatever that is. People hoarding thousands of perfectly useable names will be relieved of their googlies. Works like a charm.
