Excuse me, dahrlings, but...

It's All Fun & Games Til Someone Gets Hurt

In case you haven’t been paying attention, here is a recap of what everyone else already knows. Kirk is at CanJet, Nino is at Contac, Jonathan is a nation onto himself -- And I’m here.

Contac is very busy flexing its new found booking muscle at Softvoyage. I imagine ‘les boys’ will try to bury the upstarts by kicking beach sand at their wurld. And if that isn’t enough testosterone for one morning, rumour has it another player is about to explode onto the software back end. With apologies to everyone’s virility, ‘soft’ is just not a good descriptive when you’re talking muscle.

Speaking of which, we’re still waiting for big things on other fronts. TravelBrands keeps promising to dynamically explode [even I launch faster] and Air Canada is cleaning house and going turbo on all fronts.

In the meantime, as I said, I’m still here. In this estrogen mosh pit with 2 dinkettes, who, trust me, are not getting any younger. Or sweeter. I could swear their arms are getting longer, though. Help.

And now I hear Derek Lloyd is moving from NCL into something a little more quarky.

Of course, back at the farm, someone has to replace Kirk at Porter and NCL will have an opening. Which will leave another opening… Everyone should just stand up, and when I turn off the music – find a chair.

Ivanna Gabbalot

Columnist

Part legend, part myth, all woman: Ivanna Gabbalot is OJ’s gossip columnist and considers herself the industry’s conscience. Equally annoying to Open Jaw management and inflated egos in C-suites everywhere, Ivanna works infrequently, preferring to snipe from the sidelines.
