Excuse me, dahrlings, but...

It's All Crystal Clear Now

The cruiso-sphere was abuzz yesterday, dahrlings. News of Crystal Cruises buying Deutschland – not the country, the ship – was a bit of a ‘huh?’ Black boots in a crystal shoppe. Really Edie?

Turns out it’s all a bit of an überblasen in a teapot, Pumpkins. Crystal Cruises says they have not purchased the circa 1998, balcony barren, MS Deutschland. And by all accounts, Crystal was not amused by the reporting error.

Knowing my idol, the ball bearing Edie Rodriguez the way I do, I imagine ‘not amused’ is akin to a full-fledged fitten of ragensfall. “Incoming!”

However, a Crystal Cruises announcement of some kind is expected yesterday.

In other fronts, I read on Facebook that social media is dead. It just doesn’t know it. It’s the zombie of the internet. Seems that businesses now want to see results from their über investments in tweeting and poking and such. What next? I thought it was all about engaging in conversation (urkkkghbarph). Personally, I find a bit of bling a wonderful ROI for a bit of a poke. The rest of you are on your own.

Ivanna Gabbalot

Columnist

Part legend, part myth, all woman: Ivanna Gabbalot is OJ’s gossip columnist and considers herself the industry’s conscience. Equally annoying to Open Jaw management and inflated egos in C-suites everywhere, Ivanna works infrequently, preferring to snipe from the sidelines.
