Excuse me, dahrlings, but...

Was there a big BOGO sale on travel companies I missed?
Ivanna Gabbalot

Holy Macy’s Sample Sale, Pumpkins! Travel companies are flying off the shelves like size 2 Puccinis.

My head is spinning. I thought it was a bad CBD batch, dahrlings. Truth is, I don’t like change. When Albert moved the couch so he could better admire himself in the mirror ... well, I joined him. Point is, he threw me for a moment.

Call me old fashioned, but I like WestJet being own by friendly WestJetters. Transat in the large warm baguette hands of Jean Marc Eustache. And TravelBrands as part of a large extended Italian family. So shoot me. (Joking!)

What does this all mean, darlings? Will it affect me? I mean... will it affect the retail community as a whole? And what of TDC? Does Air Canada want a bevy of retailers in its arsenal? We’ve never been owned by an airline. But, heck, as long as we have regular access to food and water and attractive pilots I’m all for it. (Call it the ToMe movement!)

I suppose the good news is that 2 of the 3 are staying in Canadian hands. And 2 out of 3 ain’t bad.
