Porter Airlines is introducing St. John's, N.L., as its newest destination on Oct. 5, as part of expanded service in Atlantic Canada. Porter will have four daily roundtrip flights between St. John's and Halifax, with continuing service to Ottawa and Toronto from Halifax.
'Our expanded, permanent commitment to Halifax, along with a new destination in St. John's, significantly expands Porter's presence in Atlantic Canada,' said Robert Deluce, president and CEO of Porter Airlines. 'This growth extends Porter's network and enhances the competitive environment for travellers who want real value and service as part of their flight experience.'
'We're excited to welcome Porter Airlines to St. John's,' said Keith Collins, president and CEO of St. John's International Airport Authority. 'We are confident that the local market will recognize and respond favourably to the high level of customer service on which Porter's reputation has been built. In addition to increasing passenger choice at our airport, these new daily flights to Halifax and on to Ottawa and Toronto will enhance the accessibility of our city and our province.'
'Every opportunity to expand Halifax's reach and frequency is welcome," said Tom Ruth, president and CEO of Halifax International Airport Authority. 'We appreciate Porter's confidence in our airport and our community and we're delighted with this announcement.'
