Seabourn Odyssey & Silver Spirit Raise The Luxury Bar

A Cruise Week correspondent experienced the two newest luxury ships on the market in the past couple of months, with the goal of determining how Silversea's newest vessel Silver Spirit compares with Seabourn's Odyssey.



The writer sailed through the Med for seven days on Odyssey in its fully operational glory, while the Silver Spirit trip was part of that ship's sea trials, which meant he slept on a cot in an unfinished veranda suite. Despite the bare surroundings, he came away believing that Spirit will give Odyssey a run for its money. Here are some of his observations:
