RBC Insurance has updated its coverage for flight disruptions caused by volcanic eruptions in Iceland.
The company’s travel insurance policies purchased after the April 15th onset of Mt.Eyjafjallajökull's eruption had not provided cancellation or interruption insurance due to clouds of volcanic ash disrupting flights. However, passengers will now be covered again if they have a departure or return date on or after August 16th, unless the Icelandic volcanoes begin spewing ash again before that date.
