Samba Days which distributes "gift-box travel experiences" has become a preferred supplier to Travel Professionals International (TPI), Canada’s largest network of independent travel consultants.

“Travel Professionals International represents over 800 independent travel associates across Canada who are always looking for new and exclusive product, and we believe that the unique travel experiences offered by Samba Days will prove to be an excellent sales opportunity for its agents,” stated Alex Barseghian, CEO of Samba Days. “Now consumers will be able to purchase these incredible packages through their local TPI agent.”

Samba Days is a Canadian-owned enterprise that offers the option of a do-it-yourself gift card with a 'travel experience' in the form of themed gift-boxes. The program is currently available through Aeroplan and in selected retail outlets across Canada, including The Bay, Shoppers Drug Mart and Chapters/Indigo.

Each gift-box contains more than a dozen experiential options. Retailing from $49 to $329, purchasers choose from themes as Adventure, Life & Culture, Body & Soul, Getaway, Gourmet and Wine. The giver chooses the theme and price point, and the receiver reviews their many options and then chooses the experience they prefer. Whether it’s white water rafting, learning to salsa, team building Amazing Race style, exclusive spa experiences, or driving the ultimate sports car, these short getaways provide gift givers and corporate rewards staff with opportunities to present individualized packages to their clients.

“We want to introduce our commissionable and affiliate sales program to the Canadian travel trade,” says Janice Ketchen, Director of Partnership Marketing. “We believe that Canadian travel agents are looking for this type of product, and we plan to develop preferred supplier agreements with other agency chains across Canada.”

Samba Days operates under a retail license from the Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) and is a member of ACTA.
