Air Transat got government approval Friday to operate scheduled flights to the Bahamas.
Transat Holidays will be including Nassau in its 2010-2011 winter sun program starting December 20th and running through April 28th utilizing TS's twice weekly flights on Mondays and Thursdays.
"This designation provides Canadians with more options when choosing a carrier for service to the Bahamas," said Transport, Infrastructure and Communities Minister Chuck Strahl said. "It will help to encourage competition and growth in the Canadian airline industry, while promoting international travel options for consumers from both countries."
