ACTA National directors have delivered an official statement to ACTA's Quebec district council inviting them to a round table discussion to air issues of concern.
The invitation indicates ACTA National wishes to discuss and exchange ideas, but mainly create a true bond between the two councils. Noting the creativity of the District council of ACTA Quebec, the President of ACTA National, Jacqueline Jamieson, suggested that the regional council could play a role in developing the French version of the ACTA website.
Jamieson stted that, "We would like to provide the opportunity for the district council of of Quebec to argue and champion their initiatives within the ACTA fold."
ACTA Quebec has been asking for more support from the ACTA board in deploying their initiatives. Last month, ACTA National unanimously approved the development of a French version of the ACTA, one of the Quebec council’s requests.
ACTA National hopes to invigorate the bonds between the National council and the district council of Quebec and hopes that a stronger relationship will serve to enrich the next meeting of the ACTA National council in January 2011.
