Vacation.com has added upscale tour operator Cox & Kings to its expanding list of luxury Preferred Suppliers.

Founded in 1758, Cox & Kings is the longest established travel company in the world. It provides small escorted group tours and FIT travel to Africa, the Indian Ocean, Asia, India, the Middle East and Latin America, offering 4-star, boutique and 5-star accommodations.

³Not only does Cox & Kings bring an unmatched tradition of excellence to Vacation.com, but they provide our luxury-selling members another high-quality offering for their most discerning clients,² said Christine James, Vacation.com¹s Vice President Canada.

Vacation.com members sell more than $300 million in luxury sales annually, a total that is expected to rise in 2011 with the influx of upscale suppliers that have recently joined the organization.

³On average, a Vacation.com member agent will earn $2,000 in commission for selling one of our vacations,² said Thomas Stanley, COO of Cox & Kings, The Americas. ³And once their clients experience the high-touch service and unique itineraries only a company of our heritage can provide, they will undoubtedly return to the travel advisor to book another one of our adventures. Our repeat and referral rate is extremely high, ensuring that one sale will turn into many over time.
