New Quebec-based airline OWG, a subsidiary of Nolinor Aviation, has delayed its NOV launch, with no new date announced at this time.

As Open Jaw reported, Hola Sun (Caribe Sol in Quebec) partnered with OWG to provide direct air service to Cuba. Flights were due to take off this month from YYZ and YUL to four Cuban destinations: Varadero, Cayo Coco, Holguín and Santa Clara.

"Like many airlines, we are waiting for the right conditions to start our flight schedule. No specific date is known at this time," Marco Prud'homme, president of parent-company Nolinor Aviation, told Open Jaw in an email.

In a statement posted to its website on 01NOV, OWG wrote:

"November is upon us. While our initial game plan was to start to offer links from Montréal and Toronto to Cuba, we have to face up to the current situation and put off starting our regular flights to a later date. The OWG team will be ready to begin these operations with our new fleet of Boeing 737-400 aircraft as soon as conditions allow it."
