Sunwing Cancels All Summer Domestic Flights; Sun Destination Service Begins 30JUL

Sunwing has cancelled its entire summer domestic flight program for all flights within Canada, adding that customers affected by the cancellation will be contacted in the coming weeks.

Last month, the carrier announced partial service to select sun destinations from YYZ and YUL beginning 30JUL 2021, which appears to be going ahead as planned.

From YYZ:

  • To CUN on Fridays and Sundays starting 30JUL 2021 and on Saturdays starting 21AUG 2021
  • To PUJ on Saturdays starting 31JUL 2021 and on Fridays starting 20AUG 2021
  • To VRA on Mondays starting 02AU 2021
  • To MBJ on Sundays starting 22AUG 2021

From YUL:

  • To CUN on Fridays and Sundays starting 30JUL 2021
  • To PUJ on Saturdays starting 31JUL 2021
  • To VRA on Mondays starting 02AUG 2021

Sunwing also noted that additional flights and routes may be added to reflect consumer demand, and that more gateways and destinations will be revealed for the fall/winter flight season.
