Air Canada Rouge, Air Canada's leisure airline, resumed service on 07SEP with flights operating from YYZ to LAS, MCO, and YQR. More destinations are to be announced in SEP, such as CUN and TPA.

Air Canada Rouge’s service was suspended from spring this year.

"Air Canada Rouge remains integral to Air Canada's overall strategy. As we emerge from the pandemic, we anticipate increased demand for vacation travel and from customers flying to enjoy overdue visits with family and friends,” said Jon Turner, Vice President Inflight Services and President, Rouge Operations, at Air Canada.

As part of the relaunch, Rouge is revamping the interiors of its economy class seating on nine new Airbus A321s along with new uniforms which reflect Air Canada branding. The revamp had initially been planned for roll-out prior to the pandemic.

The new aircraft feature a more contemporary interior design, with Rouge brand accents and leather seats and a 30-inch seat pitch in the Economy cabin. The A321 Rouge aircraft also offer upgraded personal power options, including USB-C ports, and a personal electronic device holder integrated into the seatback.

Other new enhancements to all Rouge aircraft include:

  • Upgraded streaming entertainment – customers no longer need to use an app to stream content but instead can stream television and movies available on a complimentary basis directly to their own device via their web browser, or their complimentary, sanitized iPad in Premium Rouge.
  • Updated uniforms – Rouge flight attendants will be sporting a new uniform featuring many pieces of the Air Canada mainline uniform, accented with new neckwear and brevets to represent the Rouge brand.

Amenities for guests travelling on Premium Rouge include a complimentary bar and beverage service, and a complimentary meal on flights over two hours, or a snack on flights of shorter duration.
