Canada Jetlines Introduces First International Route: Toronto - Las Vegas

Las Vegas SignCanada Jetlines has announced the launch date and itinerary for the new leisure airline's first international route.

Scheduled to begin 19JAN, 2023, the airline will fly international, nonstop service from its YYZ hub to Las Vegas, Nevada through Harry Reid International Airport (LAS). Jetlines says it will fly the new route multiple times weekly. Tickets are now available to book.

Operation of these flights are subject to final Federal Aviation Administration approval. As Open Jaw reported on 02NOV, the United States Department of Transportation has granted Canada Jetlines "economic authority" to fly into the U.S. The airline expects FAA approval to follow before the end of the year, which is the final hurdle for the new airline to clear in order to fly into the U.S.

Canada Jetlines will operate the new YYZ-LAS route with its growing fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft, including its recently announced second aircraft which is expected to be delivered by this December.

“We are incredibly excited to launch Canada Jetlines’ international services with a route to the entertainment capital of the world,” shared Eddy Doyle, Chief Executive Officer of Canada Jetlines. “As we continue to expand our international network with our first route into the U.S., we look forward to beginning services in such a coveted tourist and convention destination such as Las Vegas.”

The upcoming YYZ-LAS service will be Jetlines’ third nonstop route since launching in SEP. The airline has launched YYZ-YYC service, operating Thursdays, and Sundays out of Toronto (YYZ) to Calgary (YYC) from 07:55am -- EST 10:10am MST and returns from Calgary (YYC) to Toronto (YYZ) 11:40am MST – 17:20 EST.  The company will also commence Airbus A320 service from Toronto to Vancouver in DEC 2022.
