Condor Flight inaugural flight DE2468 ex FRA was greeted by officials at Edmonton International Airport. The airline notes that for pax arriving from Europe, the route is a gateway to the Canadian Rocky Mountains or to one of the Western national parks, and noted it would be increasing tourism to Canada via the new route.

Pax can also get connecting flights to or from Edmonton via Condor's partner, WestJet.

With the commencement of Edmonton service, Condor is expanding its Canada portfolio to five destinations: In addition to Edmonton, Condor operates flights out of Toronto, Vancouver, Whitehorse and Halifax to its Frankfurt hub.
