This winter season, the Belize Tourism Board is making the Central American destination more accessible with new offerings and seasonal airlift from WestJet and Air Canada.
Seasonal Airlift
WestJet’s seasonal airlift, which began on 01NOV 2023, runs through 04MAY 2024. As Open Jaw reported, WestJet expanded its seasonal offerings with additional nonstop flights from Toronto and Calgary to Belize City. The service will operate three times a week from Toronto (Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday) and twice a week from Calgary (Friday and Saturday), providing more flexibility for travellers seeking the beaches, jungles, and cultural experiences that await in Belize.
Air Canada Rouge also offers seasonal airlift out of Toronto, offering a weekly flight every Friday from 08DEC, 2023 until 29MAR, 2024, further expanding the options for Canadians to explore the destination.
Belize is famous for its beaches and barrier reef, which features 450 sand and mangrove cayes, as well as its rich Mayan heritage and ruins. It's also the only country in Central America with English as its official language.
