Air Canada Resumes Service to Israel

Air Canada has resumed service between Canada and Israel following a six-month pause due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

The airline says flights between YYZ and TLV resumed 09APR, and that a once-weekly flight between YUL and TLV will resume next month.

Most international carriers, including Air Canada, suspended service to Israel last October after an outbreak of war between Israel and Hamas. Other major carriers, including United, American and Delta, have also resumed flights to Israel.

Air Canada said that, in preparation for resuming service, it undertook an extensive safety analysis, including consultations with government authorities, unions representing its flight crews, and security experts, Canadian Press and CP24 report.

The federal government still advises Canadians to avoid non-essential travel to Israel due to the ongoing hostilities and the unpredictable security situation.
