BermudAir Appoints Nico Buchholz as President

Nico Buchholz has been appointed to the new role of President and Deputy CEO of BermudAir

Nico Buchholz has been appointed president of BermudAir and will also serve as Deputy CEO.

Buchholz has a long history in the aviation industry, bringing over 30 years of experience as an aerospace C-suite executive from firms across North America and Europe.

“We are absolutely delighted that Nico is joining us as President and Deputy CEO,” said Adam Scott, Founder and CEO of BermudAir. “There’s no doubt that the significant technical expertise and deep business development insights he brings will be invaluable as the company moves forward from start-up to the next phase of our evolution.”

"I am honoured to support and guide the dedicated BermudAir team on their growth path," said Nico Buchholz. "Having seen the deep motivation and individual competencies within the team, we’re well-placed to continue the success and development of BermudAir."

Born in Hamburg, Germany, Buchholz began his aviation career at Airbus in Toulouse, where he worked in product marketing and sales. He later moved to the engine manufacturer Rolls-Royce Deutschland. This was followed by running fleet management for all airlines in the Lufthansa Group.

As executive vice president and Lufthansa's aircraft buyer, he shaped the development of the group's fleets for 15 years. Subsequently, he held various leadership positions and global assignments within a portfolio of diverse airlines, lessors, and OEMs.

“We’re very fortunate to have Nico’s commitment to BermudAir, breadth of aerospace expertise and leadership knowledge at this stage of our strategic and operational development,” said Adam Scott. “Our team and I personally very much look forward to working with him.”
