How long have you been in the business? Almost 20 years – I started as a ticketing agent at P.S. Holidays here in Winnipeg.
Do you have a specialty? I love Hawaii and the South Pacific.
What sold well out of Winnipeg this winter? The Mayan Riviera, Huatulco, and Cuba are always popular.
What was your best fam? The Cook Islands for six days – the most gorgeous place I've ever been. We danced on the beach with the Prime Minister!
Does Canada need a real entrepreneur in the industry, like Richard Branson of Virgin? I think we already have them – look at Colin Hunter at Sunwing, Angus Kinnear when he founded Canada 3000, the guys at WestJet.
What drives you crazy? People wanting everything for nothing. Petty grievances.
What was your biggest individual sale A $40,000 trip to Africa for a retired couple.
Do you have a magic sentence to close the sale? Just 'Can I go ahead and book that for you?' – I say that all the time!
What do you do to keep your clients loyal? Customer service is so important, not just to have happy clients but have 'wow-ed' clients.
If you had to spend six months in a destination, which one would you pick? New Zealand, because it looks so green and lush, and I love the kindness of the people in the South Pacific.
If you could sit next to anyone on a long-haul flight, who would it be? I find Barack Obama fascinating. A mesmerizing speaker. Plus, we'd be in first class!
