Stéphanie Bishop, Managing Director of the Globus Family of Brands

How long have you been with Globus? One year – I don’t know where the year’s gone!

What did you want to be as a kid? Laughs.  I only knew I didn’t want to be a nurse or a secretary.

What was your first job? A summer job in reservations at Wardair. I ended up staying 10 years! I loved Wardair, because it never felt like work.

If you could have any job, what would it be? Canadian ambassador to a foreign country.

What’s your biggest extravagance? Shoes - I have over 100 pairs!

Describe your dream vacation. I did it last fall, climbing Kilamanjero. Next? A marathon!

What will be the biggest challenge for the industry in the next 12 months? To stay focused because there’s an awful lot of distractions out there.

What was the best piece of advice you ever received?  “Have a Plan B.”

Who do you most respect in the industry?  Michael Friisdahl, because of everything he has accomplished.  And Vanessa Lee.

If you could change one thing about the industry what would it be? I would like to see more certification programs.

What drives you crazy? People who aren’t flexible.  Life happens.

If you could be someone else for a day, who would it be? Obama.

What are you really bad at? Being on time.
