Sabrina Unruh

Where were you born? In Saskatoon.

What was your 1st job? At a small pizza place in my hometown Warman (near Saskatoon) during high school.

How long have you been in the business? About 2 ½ years.

Tell me about your 1st airplane ride. When I was 15 we went on a family holiday to Puerto Vallarta.

Do you have a specialty? I sell a lot of Mexico, the Caribbean, Disney and Sandals.

If you could have any job in the business what would it be? I really love what I do. The only change would be maybe one day being a home-based agent, when I have a family.

What was your best FAM ? A wedding and honeymoon FAM to Jamaica with Sandals.

What drives you crazy? Long hold times! And customers who think they know more than we do.

What was your biggest individual sale? A multi-island trip in Hawaii for $11,000.

Do you have a magic sentence to close the sale? It depends on the client. Sometimes I ask how they are planning to pay for it.

Do you have any time management strategies? When I’m busy I make a to-do list by priority and update it every day.

How do you cope with jetlag? Lucky me, I can sleep whenever I want!

What do you do to keep your clients loyal? Being with Marlin, we offer Air Miles with packages and that helps a lot.

If you had to spend 6 months in a destination, which one would you pick? New Zealand, I’ve always wanted to go there.

If you weren’t doing this, what would you be doing? I’ve always had an interest in meteorology and was thinking of studying it…but travel won out!
