Royal Caribbean International has returned to the Caribbean after 15 months as the Adventure of the Seas set sail from Nassau, the Bahamas 12JUN. The ship welcomed 1,000 guests and a fully vaccinated crew. Of the guests, all those above the age of 16 were vaccinated, a total of 94 per cent of guests, and those younger than 16 were not, which accounted for the final 6 per cent.
The ship will now sail 7-night itineraries titled "Perfect Day at CocoCay," with visits to select destinations in the Bahamas and Cozumel, Mexico.
“The return of Adventure of the Seas marks a start in the tremendous step forward our guests have been waiting for and we’ve been working toward for more than 15 months. This is all possible thanks to the government of The Bahamas, the support of our partners and the hard work of our teams across Royal Caribbean,” said Michael Bayley, president and CEO, Royal Caribbean International.
As part of the cruise line's health and safety measures, all guests above the age of 16 are required to be vaccinated. Additional health and safety measures include a fully vaccinated crew, an onboard ventilation system, and cleaning and sanitation measures. Royal Caribbean International will continue to update these measures in complication with government and health authorities. Protocols may very depending on destination.
