Chef Dale MacKay Joins Emerald Cruises for Danube River Culinary River Cruise

Canadian Celebrity Chef Dale MacKay

Emerald Cruises Canada has announced a partnership with celebrity chef Dale MacKay of Top Chef Canada and Top Chef World All-Stars for a culinary-themed sailing along the Danube River.

The eight-day sailing will depart from Budapest on 21JUN 2024, and visit ports in Slovakia and Austria before ending in Regensburg, Germany.

During the sailing, guests will have culinary experiences with Chef MacKay, including a private cocktail reception, an onboard dinner inspired by the region, and a live cooking demonstration. Two guests will also get the opportunity to cook with Chef MacKay.

“I am very much looking forward to my first European river cruise with Emerald Cruises,” said Chef MacKay. “I can’t wait to explore the food traditions along the Danube River and infuse the flavors and techniques into my own culinary approach to share with guests.”

Guests who book their cabin by 31JUL, 2023, and pay in full 10 months prior to departure will receive the Super Earlybird cruise and fly offer, which includes round-trip economy air starting at $5,990 per person, based on double occupancy.

Chef Dale MacKay, born in Saskatchewan, gained experience working in the kitchens of Gordon Ramsay and Daniel Boulud before winning the first season of Top Chef Canada. He has opened five award-winning restaurants in Saskatchewan, featuring Japanese, Korean, and French influences.
