Silversea Nova

Silversea Cruises announced that the final handover of the newly-built Silver Nova took place on 19JUL in Eemshaven, the Netherlands.

Royal Caribbean Group President and CEO, Jason Liberty, joined President of Silversea, Barbara Muckermann, executives from Meyer Werft, and other guests to officially welcome the pioneering ship as the 12th in Silversea’s fleet.

Described by the company as the most environmentally conscious cruise ship ever built, Silver Nova marks a significant milestone on Royal Caribbean Group's journey to achieve net zero emissions, the company said in a release.

The ship's maiden voyage is scheduled for 14AUG, departing from Venice on a seven-day round-trip journey. After its inaugural sailing, Silver Nova will begin its season of Mediterranean cruises, departing from Venice, Italy; Civitavecchia (Rome) Italy; Monaco; Barcelona, Spain; and Lisbon, Portugal. The ship can accommodate up to 728 guests.
