Atlas Ocean Voyages has announced the expansion of its North American sales team, including a new BDM for Western Canada and plans for future expansion of sales outreach in Canada. With the introduction of new ships and destination expansion, the company says this move aims to ensure that it is well-prepared for continued success with the right agencies and advisors.
Cathy Kusuma has been appointed Vice President of Sales and will spearhead the sales team in the field and Fort Lauderdale headquarters. Her mission is to support travel advisors and partners to grow their knowledge of Atlas's unique expeditions and boost sales.
Kusuma emphasizes the need to increase awareness and visibility of Atlas Ocean Voyages. The newly expanded Key Account Partner Program will lead the team’s strategic initiatives for key partners. Additionally, the team will prioritize outreach programs to establish deeper connections with travel partners.
Key Hires and Promotions:
Nikki Shanley, appointed Senior Director of Sales, Northwest U.S. & Key Accounts, is based in northern California and focuses on key accounts in the western U.S. territory. With extensive experience in National Accounts and strategic partnerships, Nikki's territory covers North California, Alaska, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and Western Canada.
Oya Bekisoglu assumes the role of Senior Director, South Central U.S. & Key Accounts and is based in Texas. Her territory encompasses Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana. Oya will also support several key accounts in the Central and Eastern regions. She returns to Atlas Ocean Voyages with 25+ years of industry experience, including a background in air.
Andres “Andy” Fuentes, the new Regional Sales Director, Southeastern U.S., will focus on states including Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, and Tennessee. Andy brings 18+ years of cruise industry expertise to his role, having worked with Crystal Cruises, Oceania Cruises, and Scenic Cruises USA.
